How many people will be on the boat?

Each airboat holds a maximum of 17 people. They generally limit the tours to 15 passengers or less, however.

What will I see on an airboat tour?

Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures will take you into the headwaters of the Everglades, which has one of the largest populations of bald eagles in the world. There are also turtles, raccoons, wild hogs, armadillos, deer, and an array of birds. The animals are in the wild, so, they cannot guarantee sightings of gators, birds, etc. The captains are familiar with the area and each tour is unique and may lead to many different discoveries.

What is the difference in tours?

The longer you are out on the airboat the better chance you have seeing more wildlife. The one-hour ride takes you further into the swamps then the half-hour tour and is more personalized. The night tour is the only one they guarantee to see alligators.

When should we arrive?

For each tour that you must select a start time for, you will need to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your tour's departure time. If you are scheduled to arrive around high traffic times in the late afternoon, please leave in plenty of time before your scheduled time. They cannot hold the ride for you but will try to get you on another later one.

Are the airboat tours wheelchair accessible?

Wheelchairs can get all the way to the boat, however, they are not able to have a wheelchair on the boat. Also, there are 3 steps into the boat.

Are service animals permitted?

Yes, service animals are permitted as long as they are on a leash and in control. However, if the captain deems the animal is not in control and could cause a risk for other passengers, then he may refuse boarding on the boat.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing and sunscreen as you will be in the sun for 30 minutes to an hour. Bug repellent is also recommended. Temperatures are cooler on the water, so you may also want to bring along a sweater or jacket. Jackets or sweaters are highly recommended for the night tour.
